Good/Evil

At first i was just thinking about making this a quest of some stature but with more thought we could make this quest be the beggins of a whole new blackdragon experience.

First thing that needs done is the full blackdragon maps need copied 2 more times. An Evil version of the map and a Holy version. There will be 2 portals to the under realm and holy realm in the current battle arena. One owned by the elemental lords and another by prince galare.
When a player reaches level 50 they can chose to take a quest chain that will send them down the path of good or evil. Instantly gaining them one of 2 bonuses. (Can work out the details of the holy/evil boosts later) When the player chooses which side they want to join the portal to the holy/evil realms both become open. Since players cannot enter these lands until level 50 the weakest monsters in these lands will be suitable for level 50+ players to level. (this also adds some variation on the hunting black knights from 50-60 and de-crowds maps) Also the fact that the weakest monsters in the worls are suitable for level 50 it means you have a whole ton of map to add new more powerful monsters. These new monsters can test the strongest players making new runes needed to beat the strongest off them. Just make every single monster in the holy or ark realm to be holy or dark versions of the current monsters that exsist. Main difference would be the strength of the monsters although their appearance will differ also.
As you now have a side you now have a ruler to aim to please. The holy side fights for the elemental lords and the evil for the evil prince galare. Galare was a brother of the elemental lords who fell out with his siblings over some matter. They will know of a great power that can help whoever earns the trust of the great yadgrasil. (again back story easy to work out if needed) Both rulers will give similar quests that will sometimes force players into the neutral relm which is basicly our current bd map. The thing is now any holy player can attack and evil player in the neutral relm! With restrictions of level brackets as normal on server 2. All new lands would only appear in the neutral zone. This game has many server 2 runs. If players want to cpmpete they need to get the hang of pvp. Having all new updates appear in the neutral zone would make players move into the area. There would be no losses like on server 2 instead only death. You could still bring out small updates for the holy/dark zones like kill quests and item hunt quests to be given by your respective rulers.

Since the new planet aurora is only accessable from the neutral zone it should ad alot of new really strong monsters. All the new lands you are talking about adding will branch from the neutal zone. The high xp will draw players there. I believe alot of the other quests the players have thought of should also be used. make galare and the elemental lords give these quests to players of good/evil and make one of those quests the way to open up the portal to aurora. Using alot of these quests would really improve the game. since all these quests would start after level 50 it would make leveling after that point more fun. Have alot of the quests as just level 50 quests and adjust the items that needed found or monsters needing killed to suit. Id love to see this idea implimented with as many of the others as possible. Adjust thr quests to spread them out from level 50-100. If possible add new dungeons for players to compete in with as many of the quests as possible. Make these jobs doable on solo but make being in a party benefit the players. Not all new dungeons would appear on the neutral zones. Some would appear in the holy/dark zones for the more pve based player and would offer less substancial rewards but still great xp for the level range. Time limmits on re doing dungeons should vary based on the reward. This could be the begining of a really good game with a whole ton of things to do. Since dungeons appear in the neutral zone mostly it woud mean they can appear for any level range. The players would port to the neutral zone to take part so they wil easily be able to take on the monsters in the areas where the dungeons appear. Early dungeons could appear near the old forrest or the mount parrapet maps.

Aurora reward

i think a choice of 1 of 2 spells for all classes wpuld be a good reward that adds divircity. Make an offensive based skill and a defensive based skill and all players will only be able to choose one or the other at a time. except diablo which will be able to get any offensive spell from all classes and any defensive spell. Death/holy angels would be able to pick from any class they choose but would only be allowed 1 spell at a time.

Now for the actual quest.

In the neutral realm 5 dungeons will appear, either the elemental lords for holy players or prince galare for evil players will tell you where to find the seal pieces to open each dungeon. Each seal will have 3 parts that need crafted together and the item when carried will grant access to the dungeon they are for.

Each dungeon will be simply like a castle is now. It will have a number of monsters to defeat with a boss monster at the end. Back story would be it wants to test your strength if you are a holy player or it wants to stop you if you are evil. Either way when it dies it will reset the dungeon mobs and everyone in the party of the killer will recieve the greater seal piece. I suggest making it party based so the boss mob can be took on by a party! Have a cooldown on attacking it of 15 seconds for none party members and 5 seconds for party members. Team work is key as both holy and evil players will be in the dungeon together! And even worse players of same level range will be able to kill each other off. (This is server one, death is the only penalty, no extra losses)

After all 4 dungeons have been completed and you have all four pieces of the greater seal you can take them to your ruler holy/evil and they will combine them to open the final dungeon. This will also be in the neutral realm and is effectively a new castle for the 2 nations to fight over. It will house the yadgrasil tree which also has the power to bless all of the race that owns its power. This castle will be full of tough monsters and the yadgrasil gaurdian at first. When its slain the castle becomes property of the nation who kills it and the mobs reset. Only difference is now the holy/dark gaurdian will take the last mobs spot. If the holy side owns this dungeon all holy players will be granted its blessing, and if evil the evil nation will. The first and only player to kill yagdrasil will be given a unique item or item title that will.never be won again. This title or item will be the event item or title, it will have the same effect with many different names depending on the event it came from. In this case the event is called the begining of the holy war. The item would be a yadgrasils branch wand for example or yadgrasil would be the title on any exsisting level 110 legendary gear. The next even may givr a Hell masters apocolypse. Or new hell master item. Basicly whatever the boss quest is it will drop one of its named items. The title will have the same stat boost as yadgrasil just a different name to identify the even it was won from keeping it unique. This is not a clan castle, its a nation castle so all holy clans and evil clans will fight each other for the great of the whole. It will work just like a castle with troops that can be bought by the nation that owns it. The nation boost can also be decided later.

Few extra things to mention.

Dark/holy Gaurdian

Each nation will have its own gaurdian. It will start almost as strong as the yadgrasil gaurdian. The difference is each nation will be able to offer up blessings to their respective gaurdian statue. These blessings are yagdrasil fruits that only appear in the neutral relm. They work basicly like santa boxes. Appear on the maps randomly after monster kills but at a slower rate. The dark/holy guardian has xp and levels just like anyone else only it will need this fruit to grow stronger. Obviously a stronger gaurdian means its harder to win the nation castle. The gaurdian will grow in levels relatively fast. But each month there will be a cleansing by yagdrasil and the gaurdians will reset to level 1.

These dungeon quests wont open until level 80! Other dungeon quests would hopefully open befor them all the same. This would show players what to expect befor they came to a quest of this dificulty.
You can only travel between your chosen relm holy/evil and will not be able to cross into the oposit realm ever. (for now, later quests may be added where you can enter their realm but you wont be able to atack even though players can attack you)
Neutral realm pvp is on from 50+ no turning it off. You dont like pvp then stay in your own realm and do as you will.
Other prizes, i really suggest the dungeons dropping gear and items specific to that dungeon. A fire scroll from a dungeon will drop to the player that slays the flame gaurdian, or a flame breastplate or whatever. Random and rare drops so players have reason to complete these dungeons many times.

Avatars, Holy players will look as such, white wings and a halo on their avatar, evil players with red eyes horns and maybe even black wings. Maybe wings should be earned? From pvp kills of the oposit race? Idk exactly but horns/halo a definate for quick identification on the map.

Death angels will stay unchanged for evil players, Holy angel will be a new avatar of a white angel. Just for the good players.

Diablo will just walk round looking like a boss as always in any realm they see fit at any time and have no one to answer too. They can do the dungeons for good or evil and finish them for the side they want too. Diablos will be able to switch between both good and evil at will. It will be an option open to them in settings. This will come into play on keeping castles in your nation. Finally diablos will be looked upto by all players as a few diablos on your side can really make a huge difference to your nation.

Holy/evil race boost, This is really hard. You cant make one better than the other. They both either have to be exactly the same or offer different benefits. Maybe a 5% dex boost to one side or a 10% strength and wisdom boost. Im finding this hard to balance but making one sides better will ruin the other nation.

Yagdrasil blessing.

Again this has to be something that will benefit everyone and everyone will want to have. a lot of holy wars will take place over owning this castle.

Holy/dark Item titles

Another new idea to be added after this point is Holy/Evil blessings for weapons. A new rare scroll called a Spirit scroll will now also drop from mobs. The scroll depending on the character that uses it will have a 10% chance of adding either Holy or Dark to the title of their equipment. Example a Holy Wyvern monarchs Forrest Boot or Holy Behemoths Earthcrafter.
The blessing well stands in both the holy and evil lands. The good land a water pool and the evil would have a flaming one. If a player buys an item in the mp with the oposit title of their race they will have to pay gold or credits to the bessing well to convert the blessing to their kind. Holy players cant use Dark equipment and Dark cant use Holy.players could also spend a smaller ammount of gold or credits to remove the blessing all together. Blessings would be exact same effects for both sides and would vary between weapon and armor.

New legendary gears.

New level 130+ gears that use Dark/holy titled legendaty equipment as ingredients. Monsters in the dark/light realms would normally only drop its name titles. So a Dark Vampire lord would normally only drop Vamp lord or vamp titled items with a rare chance of a Holy/dark vamp/vamp lord title drop. This also means trade and sale between nations would be more important and valuable and more importantly gives diablos another reason to put in the hard work at s2 rather than just buy death/holy angel.

Class progression

This is where class progression will be updated finally. Holy barbarians can become holy knights a dark barbarian would become a dark knight. A holy druid would become a Priest and a Dark druid an arcane mage. Each class would have a new advancement available by completing one of the many quests other players have contributed. The level for this can decided by you. To switch sides by credits you would need to untrain from your advanced class. This would remove all advanced class spells. Priests would be able to heal all party members and an arcane mage could attack all targets in a dungeon at once but only take damage from the monster it is attacking. Effects would only work in dungeons. When a priest uses heal it effects everyone in the party and mage uses a spell all enemies. This makes druids more useful and better to play. Paladins would have a similar job roll but adding debuffs and buffs to party or enemies.

New credit option

Switch sides: Let players switch from dark to holy and vise versa. 300 credits
Cloak: Hides players from the oposit side in the neutral zone for 2 hours. 60 credits
Remove Blessing: Completely removes blessing from weapons or armor. 10 Credits
Convert blessing: Switches blessing to oposit type holy/evil. 50 credits
Clean mind: will reset aurora spell allowing players to pick a new spell. This would benefit diablo or death/holy angels most as they have lots of aurora spells to pick from 200 credits
Reset daily kills: effect as states. 100 credits
Blessing: Doubles chance of finding yadgrasil blessing for 2 hours. This blessing will work on the full party of the purchaser 50 credits
Buy Sprit scroll: Add holy/dark blessing to weapons at 10-20% chance of taking effect depending on item strength.20 credits
Buy Super Spirit Scroll: garentee your nations blessing on your weapon. 150 Credits.
Party buff: Will gain an extra 5% in all stats for each member in your party for 1 hour. Works on full party no matter who buys. 50 credits
Holy blessing: Doubles holy player bonus for 5 hours. 50 credits
dark blessing: Doubles dark players bonus for 5 hours. 50 credits
Crafting potion: Instantly craft any item with 1 turn. 30 credits

REALLY IMPORTANT

Just a mention but this could also be the time to remove stamina or change its effect. A daily kills limmit that can be extended for credits would be better. Ammount of daily wins being limmited to 3000 would mean no xp at all after these kills without using the credit options. Stamina will have already cost you a lot of players so dont let it continue to harm the game. Blackdragon is 5 years on now. Remember devices have came a long way in the last 5 years. Where stamina could once be argued as relevent it now takes from the gaming experience and needs to change with the times. This is the best way i can think of achieving this.

Server 2 would not change. Stamina would still come i to play here. Frenzy and energy mode would still give players the boost it does now. This will be explained by the harsh conditions of the lands of these trials being hard for even the strongest of warriors to navigate. All players however would be asked to choose holy/dark when they reach level 50. This wont effect the players til they merge to server 1 because all v all pvp is still in place. To give server 2 more of a story it becomes the hell trail lands. Everything in the server2 lands looks bleak and is dying. It is for holy/dark warriors to compete to test their strength and skill with champion being rewarded with the blessing if diablo and thw ability to stand above all holy/dark wars and choose do whatever they want whenever they want.

I believe this idea has the ability when all completed to full fix all of the problems ive found in bd. It will make the game so much more vast and varied and could help keep and attract players.
