invictus: That pretty much confirms what I had assumed. Thanks mutt and idiot for the explanation!

Those numbers in parenthesis were the original value[stats].
For example:
Dexterity: 10 (6)
10 was the total stats which had been increase by some item and 6 is your original dex.
In spell, those in parenthesis were also the original, and in the outside were the increased rate (based on wisdom).

muttleyaxe: Not in parenthesis is Base Value. When you add, say a ring of strength I, it gives you a +1 increase to your base value. i.e. Str (6) 5. Does that help any?

invictus: Could someone explain what the 'value' means in reference to things like spells, damage, etc. There are usually two sets of values, the second set is always in parentheses. I think I might know what it means, but I hate to assume anything. I have searched the forums and library and have found no explanation for this. Thanks in advance for your help.

muttleyaxe: No, they do not. 3rd cities are open cities for all. Nighon, Bracada, Tatalia.
