raditz: Basicly there is no reason to keep a char on this game. Its so easy to just start a new one because the name got a little boring.
Why not add some form of achievement that give bonus to the character.
Example
Quest slayer level 1
Kill 5 quest units
Reward = +5 str
Quest slayer level 2
Kill 20 quest units
Reward = +10 str
Defeater of monsters level 1
Kill 100 mobs
Reward = + 5 dex
Defeater of monsters level 2
Kill 1000 mobs
Reward = +10 dex
Squire level 1
Use 10 magic scrolls
Reward = + 5 wisdom
Squire level 2
Reward = + 10 wisdom
Craftsman level 1
Socket 30 runes or gems
Reward = + 10hp recovery rate
Craftsman level 2
Socket + 100 runes or gems
Reward = 15 hp recovery rate
Warlord level 1
Gain max stats of over 500
Reward = + 2 to all stats
Warlord level 2
Gain max statts of over 1000
Reward = + 5 to all stats
Healer level 1
Use 1000 potions
Reward = + 5 endurance
Healer level 2
Use 5000 potions
Reward = + 10 endurance
I can think of many different things you could set as achievement for each player to accomplish to make their characters better and make them less likely to want to just abandon a char when they have worked so hard to gain the benefits of these many tasks, MAKE US PROUD of our hard work instead of making it so we just need to transfer gear to a new account.

prince_boy_1: Another idea is the potential transfer of exp. to another character, for example, if you're trying to thin down the number of characters you have but don't want to lose all of your hard work.
Then you could destroy the character, or, if it's level 40 or higher' sell it for gold or credits.

raditz: That still doesn't get the same achievment as I'm talking about :/ a player who had worked hard too gain may stats and even faster hp/mana/stamina recovery would be harder to give up if you knew on your new char you would have to say use another 500 magic scrolls kill 500000 monsters socket 100000 gems and soo on to get the same stats as the char you spent all that time playing. XP is really easy to gain, a level 60 char can be made in a week no problem, and selling a char really isn't making you proud of your hard work at all its doing the exact oposit, its getting rid of something your not proud of. I can't remember playing an oonline game where you don't get rewards for achiements. For example ashe has like 10+ lvl80 chars and one of them a diablo she never used because its just as easy for her to make a new one when really she should be working at certain achievements to make her favorite char even stronger and the time she has played here I don't think there would be any achievements left for her to complete but at the same time she wouldn't want to do it all over again with a new one for the time it would take.
