humboltpittbull: Maybe a choice of which stats for items " one stat at a time like with pets"

-asmodeus-: pro - idea is good. and exists in many successful games.
con.- it is short sighted . the fast internet connection players would eventually exploit it, while the slow connection players suffer further. (remember this is primarily a mobile device game ) . dreamer is trying to bring back balance in the game, while this may, in the long run, disrupt the balance more.
note : a pixie kill will be counted just as well as a hell hydra.

celistia: Here's a little altered version I came up with.
Instead of kills, this "bar" should count EXP gained while fighting enemies with the gear on. And each item will have its own bar. The item will gain 25% of Experience you gain when you Win a battle. When your weapon levels up, it gains the stats from the formula you suggested before. I should also add that there should be a relatively high amount of required EXP to level up gears, and it will gradually increase with each level, instead of a constant rate of 10,000 kills. There should be a level cap of 5. There should be a title change when an item levels up. For example, a Ghost Behemoth's Mourneblade that has become Level 5 will be titled "Grandmaster) Ghost Behemoth's Mourneblade." Respectively, while viewing the item's stats, it will say 'Level: 5.'
This helps smooth out this great idea's rough edges, and ensures that it doesn't break the game.
