Regarding alt abuse, you need to strict the registration, maximum 2 chars per player. All lvl 100 accounts should not be eligible to register, during registration process user need to provide the details of the main account. Or on the pvp characters profile the owner's g1 account name can be tagged.

Market place can be either eliminated or limited. A price cap can be established for different items, there are some players who flood mp with insane prices. If disabling mp, random rec, jewels can be enabled or can increase the drop rate of recipes and other stuff. Last pvp drop rate really sucked.
To spice things up u can disable monster titled ms for this round & bring old magic scrolls
