If one clan got a castle for a long time, castle bonus starts to grow slowly, but NPC warriors attack more and more.

Make mobs more individual - create few hundreds of titles for mobs that will increase or decrease stats.Ex: Mob title "Smart" +15% wisdom, Mob title "Shaman" +25% wisdom +25% spell power (if has any), Mob title "Fighter" +15% strength +15% dexterity, Mob title "Agile" +25% dexterity, Mob title "Old" - 25% all stats, Mob title "Vampiric aura" - mob life leech 25%.
This is just a example how it could be.

Clan wars - a clan can declare war to other clan and clan members can attack each other without level restriction, clan war maximum lenght can be for a week, if no one won both clans get -10% exp gained from mobs for a week, if clan won it gets +20% exp for a week.
Also, in clan menu you can see online enemies.

You can use credits to buy Vision Scroll and see where a player is if he's online, or his last visited place if he's ofline.
