Seems that some players are still confused about this so let's repeat it once again for the final time:

Loaning gear (or anything else) is VERY STRONGLY discouraged and this was stated many times.

You take all the risk yourself.

If that player gets suspended, then NO, I don't have to return your gear back - you shouldn't have loaned anything in the first place.

There is a marketplace - do transactions there for credits to match the value of the items. That's the only encouraged way and the way it should be.
